For Baseline BaseStation 3200 Owners

Your Baseline 3200 Still Has Years Left. Let's Bring It Up to Current, and Finally Dial It In.

We update your 3200 to the latest 3200S hardware, software, and features, then do the part most upgrades skip: a full programming audit and setup, so the controller actually performs. On site or remote, at a surprisingly low cost.

One visit
Up to current in a single upgrade—your enclosure, two-wire, and field wiring all stay.
50%+
Of your water waste cut by design, once the system is dialed in.
Fresh 5-year
Manufacturer warranty on the new parts, with longer coverage for qualifying sites.

No obligation. We walk you through the whole process.

The Platform Moved On

Your 3200 is still a capable controller, but Baseline's newest tools now run only on the current 3200S. New decoder-level leakage-current diagnostics that catch wiring faults before they fail, smarter SubStation behavior, faster response, and finer control like pausing one area without stopping the rest, are all 3200S-only. Legacy units stay where they are.

Under the hood, the 3200S moves off the old Windows-based platform to a modern operating system. Maintaining two platforms gets more expensive across the industry every year, and that is the direction support and new features are heading. Upgrading on your schedule beats reacting when something breaks.

3200S-only capabilities

  • Decoder-level leakage-current diagnostics
  • Pause one area without stopping the rest
  • Modern OS—off the legacy Windows platform
  • Faster response and finer station timing
  • Solar battery insights on supported decoders

What the Upgrade Actually Is

Up to current

We replace the display, operating system, and firmware with the current 3200S platform, in the cabinet you already have.

No disruption

Your two-wire path and field wiring stay in place. No trenching, no rewiring.

Your data moves with you

Every program, report, and record carries over. Nothing is lost—see our guarantee below.

Works with your gear

Backward compatible with your decoders, sensors, SubStations, and FlowStations. Older units are brought current (v12 or v16 to v18, then v19) as part of the work.

The Honest Difference: Your 3200 vs the 3200S

We are straight about this, because it builds trust. A lot of the 3200's best capability is already in your controller today; it was just never set up. The upgrade is about the platform and the parts. The value we add is the programming.

Your 3200 likely already has (often unused)

  • Ethernet and cloud connectivity
  • Advanced flow management
  • Two-way, two-wire diagnostics
  • Soil-moisture (biSensor) and weather (WeatherAccess)
  • Up to 200 zones and 99 programs

What the 3200S adds

  • A modern operating system (off the old Windows platform)
  • Current, supported hardware
  • Faster, more responsive operation
  • Pause one area without stopping the rest
  • Finer station timing and new diagnostics
  • Decoder-level leakage-current and solar battery insights
  • A fresh manufacturer warranty

Where the Real Value Is: The Programming

Most BaseStation 3200s in the field were never fully programmed, and new hardware does not change that. While we are at it, we do the work that makes a controller actually perform:

1

Set the foundation

We learn the flow on every zone, build your site map, and name and assign every zone, so the system is readable and manageable.

2

Turn on the smarts

We configure flow management and monitoring, integrate soil-moisture and weather inputs, and tune schedules to what your plants actually need.

3

Built to last

We keep a copy of your programming and site information, so ongoing management or support is easy to step into later.

How the Upgrade Goes With Us

Seven clear steps from compatibility check to training handoff.

1

Check compatibility

We confirm your current software version will carry your data through the upgrade.

2

Update firmware if needed

We update the firmware first when that is what it takes for a clean migration.

3

Audit the programming

We review your existing programming and note what is missing or off.

4

Upgrade the hardware

Our technician does the swap, or we guide your team through it remotely.

5

Reload and verify

We reload your programs and confirm everything runs exactly as it did before.

6

Finish and optimize

We finish and optimize what was never completed, dialed to plant demand.

7

Training handoff

We train your daily operators, manage it for you, or anywhere in between.

Two Ways to Do It

We supply the correct parts either way. Matching the right components to your unit and its version history is half the job, and we handle it.

On site

Our technician brings the parts and does the full swap, install, and setup. A travel charge may apply.

Guided remote

We ship the right parts and log in before and after to back up, guide the install, and complete your programming. This keeps travel cost out of the job.

Your Programming Stays Yours

Before we change anything, we put it in writing that nothing happens without your approval. We keep our own backup of every program and setting, so if anything ever does not carry over, we rebuild it at no charge. That is our no-loss guarantee.

Warranty

The upgrade comes with a fresh 5-year manufacturer warranty on the new parts, and we submit the registration paperwork for you. Longer coverage, up to 10 years, is available for qualifying sites that meet Baseline's requirements; ask us and we will walk you through whether your site qualifies.

Surge Protection (We Are Upfront About This)

Where a site needs it, surge protection is a real, separately quoted job: arrestors roughly every 500 feet along the two-wire path, each with a driven ground rod. It protects your investment and is required for the longest warranty coverage. We assess what your site needs and quote it separately—it is never hidden in the upgrade price.

What It Costs, and Budgeting

Pricing depends on the site. Most upgrades land in a similar range, though some need more new internal parts than others, so we quote each one. Our price is competitive, often at or below taking it on yourself, and the water and labor you stop wasting pays it back fast.

Planning ahead? We regularly help clients fit this into a 2027 budget or stage it across a couple of years. And once you are current, ongoing management is available from $1 per zone per month.

Who This Is For

Any organization running Baseline 3200 controllers on a large landscape.

Why Irrigation Managers

Experts on both sides

We pair agronomic expertise with deep irrigation-system knowledge and modern technology.

We know Baseline

We know the Baseline platform as well as anyone in the country, and we run this upgrade program in partnership with Baseline.

More than parts

We do not just swap a board. We hand back a current, fully programmed controller, dialed in and supported.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the 3200S work on my existing system?

Yes. It is backward compatible with your decoders, sensors, SubStations, and FlowStations. Older controllers are brought up to current firmware as part of the upgrade.

Will I lose my programming?

No. Your programs, reports, and data migrate. And because we keep our own backup, if anything ever did not carry over, we rebuild it at no charge.

Do I have to upgrade all my controllers at once?

No. You can stage it over time. A FlowStation works with both older 3200 and newer 3200S hardware at the same time.

What about my older decoders?

Some of the newest diagnostics, like decoder leakage-current readings, need newer decoders. We will tell you exactly what your site supports.

Can you do this remotely?

Yes. We offer guided remote upgrades or full on-site service, and we supply the correct parts either way.

What does it cost?

It varies by site, so we quote each one. The water and labor you stop wasting pays it back quickly, and we can help you budget or stage it.

Is surge protection included?

Surge protection, where a site needs it, is quoted separately. We assess and price it so there are no surprises.
