Rain Bird's IQ4 paired with the ESP-LX Series is the most capable current-generation commercial platform Rain Bird offers. Having IQ4 access and actually getting the water savings and operational efficiency it's designed to deliver are two different things. Irrigation Managers closes that gap.

IQ4 is genuinely accessible software — and that accessibility creates a false sense that the system is fully configured when it isn't. The gap between connected and completely programmed is where most water savings are lost.
FloWatch compares actual vs. expected flow rates and shuts down specific zones on anomalies. It requires accurate flow rates for every station in every FloZone — via Learn Flow or manual entry. Most systems have FloWatch enabled with flow rates never properly established.
FloManager runs maximum simultaneous stations within your available flow, dramatically shortening water windows. It requires accurate station flow rates, correct SimulStations settings, and properly structured programs. Without that foundation, FloManager can't optimize anything.
IQ4's Simple ET adjusts runtimes based on local weather — but proportionally to your base runtimes. Accurate base data calibrated to your actual site conditions is the foundation everything else is built on. We calibrate ET inputs and configure IQ4 for continuous remote monitoring.
ESP-LXD and ESP-LXIVM two-wire systems eliminate individual valve runs but introduce decoder addressing, wire path mapping, surge protection, and IVM communication setup. Most installers get the hardware running and stop there. We complete the full system.
IQ4's mapping feature creates a live as-built drawing of your entire system. Every mapped valve is one that won't get lost when staff turns over. We complete full IQ4 site maps with every station named and every valve located as part of every engagement.
IQ4 supports multiple programs per controller. How stations are assigned to programs determines whether your team can independently pause a sports field, garden, or newly seeded section. We structure programs by use and frequency and name every station clearly.
Most irrigation management stops after initial programming. We don't.
Before we touch the controller, we establish your site's actual water need and set a measurable goal — the foundation for knowing whether IQ4 is performing as designed.
We structure programs by use and frequency, calibrate base runtimes and station data, configure FloManager for available flow, set up ET adjustments, and complete a full IQ4 site map with every station named and every valve located.
We configure FloZone assignments, establish accurate flow rates through Learn Flow or manual calibration, and set SEEF/SELF thresholds. For ESP-LXD and LXIVM sites, we handle decoder addressing, wire path mapping, IVM communication, and self-healing setup.
We watch your system continuously. When FloWatch fires, communication fails, or ET data stops updating — we interpret what happened and guide your field team through resolution. Someone who knows your system is always available.
Conventional wired controllers with FloManager, FloWatch, and SimulStations for hydraulic optimization.
Factory flow-sensing controller with minute-by-minute flow logging — the preferred choice for flow-monitoring-first sites.
Two-wire decoder controller with built-in flow management, 200 stations, and IQ4 NCC connectivity.
Two-way IVM communication, self-healing wire path detection, 10 programs, and up to 240 stations.
